Terroirs du Liban is the ethical brand developed by the Fair Trade Lebanon association to distribute products from its network of rural cooperatives and small-scale producers in Lebanon


The Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL) association – as well as its commercial branch Fair Trade and Tourism Lebanon (FTTL), in which SIDI is a founding shareholder as a continuation of the partnership initiated with the FTL association in the 2000s – aims to market products from the country’s rural cooperatives or small producers engaged in fair trade. A new step has been taken with the launch of the Terroirs du Liban website.
The aim is to help producers, and in particular women, who are numerous in these cooperatives, to promote their products by finding commercial outlets for them in Lebanon and internationally.
Today, Terroirs du Liban brings together more than 50 cooperatives and 1500 people, including 1000 women. The brand thus defends an artisanal production, labelled fair trade. The recipes are authentic and based on traditional know-how. Terroirs du Liban includes around thirty products from all over Lebanon: condiments, spices, syrups, seeds, etc.
In parallel to the promotion of ethical products, concrete actions are carried out in the field: support for development projects, awareness of organic and ethical agriculture, safeguarding the sustainability of groundwater, training and support for farmers and cooperatives (from cultivation to processing).
