MVE is a family-owned SME specialising in the collection and export of high-quality vanilla. Sourcing from two certified cooperatives, representing a network of 800 small producers, it guarantees lucrative commercial outlets in a context of high price volatility.

Despite its considerable natural resources, Madagascar has one of the highest poverty rates in the world: 80% of the island’s inhabitants live below the poverty line, 85% of them in rural areas. Madagascar’s economy is based mainly on agriculture. The country is also highly vulnerable to climate change.
